Data Snapshot: Arts Partnerships - Before and After the Pandemic explores the challenges that were faced by arts partners during the COVID-19 pandemic school years. It details what the common characteristics were among arts organizations that had school partners in 2018-19 but no longer in 2020-21, while also exploring such data as whether partners served fewer or more schools, what artistic disciplines they provided, and how we can use this data to build back partnership numbers.

Music House, Inc School of Performing Arts

Grant Amount: 10,000

Music House School of Performing Arts will provide a visual artist to create permanent art installations with fourth grade students. The resident artist will work with the fourth grade science teachers to design a natural sciences unit which explores an ecosystem within our region. Students will draw as part of their research. The resident artist and the students will use the drawings to compose a set of murals for the school.Students will receive visual arts instruction married to scientific study, complete a portfolio of wildlife drawings, compose and execute a public mural, attend a field trip to the Field Museum of Natural History, and organize a public unveiling of their work.
