Data Snapshot: Arts Partnerships - Before and After the Pandemic explores the challenges that were faced by arts partners during the COVID-19 pandemic school years. It details what the common characteristics were among arts organizations that had school partners in 2018-19 but no longer in 2020-21, while also exploring such data as whether partners served fewer or more schools, what artistic disciplines they provided, and how we can use this data to build back partnership numbers.

Play In A Book

Grant Amount: 10,000

Play In A Book provides Drama Based Reading and Math Programming in schools. At Coles, PIAB will provide a drama based reading program to 1st grade classes, as well as provide an age appropriate variation for K and Pre-K students. In 1st grade, students will engage in the repeated readings of grade level scripts in preparation for a low stakes performance in which they can choose to either observe or perform. K and Pre-K students will explore the literary elements of character and plot as they stage culturally diverse fairytales and nursery rhymes.
