Data Snapshot: Arts Partnerships - Before and After the Pandemic explores the challenges that were faced by arts partners during the COVID-19 pandemic school years. It details what the common characteristics were among arts organizations that had school partners in 2018-19 but no longer in 2020-21, while also exploring such data as whether partners served fewer or more schools, what artistic disciplines they provided, and how we can use this data to build back partnership numbers.

We are pleased to share the 2019-20 State of the Arts Report (SOTA). This eighth annual edition presents data that tracks student access to arts education in Chicago Public Schools (CPS) while also identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth. Read the report now.

Green Star Movement

Grant Amount: 10,000

The Green Star Movement provides in-school workshops, facilitated by teaching artists, to create mosaics and murals within schools. The organization will provide teaching artists and mosaic materials to 5th grade students to create art that reflects and celebrates our school community. As part of the ceramic and mural instruction program, students will brainstorm concepts, sketch ideas, create drafts, facilitate mural installation, and present their final works as it is unveiled to the school community. This project will hopefully be the first of a multi year partnership with The Green Star Movement to create projects that will transform our school, and celebrate our school communityâ€™s identity.
