We are delighted to announce that, as of today, an extraordinary 99% of all CPS schools and 100% of all district-managed CPS schools have completed and submitted their annual arts education data through the Creative Schools Survey. This means that all 464 schools in Networks 1-17, along with 640 out of 649 schools district-wide, have completed their surveys. These record-breaking figures represent the highest level of engagement in the 12 years of this data collection, highlighting the school district’s steadfast commitment to arts education.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to the dedicated Arts Liaisons who championed this important effort on behalf of their schools and to the CPS Department of Arts Education, principals, and district leaders whose support made this vital data collection possible.

Each year, Ingenuity administers the survey on behalf of the CPS Department of Arts Education, and this invaluable data serves as a foundation for strategic planning across the sector. Data on staffing, courses, arts learning standards, and other metrics are collected and are the basis of the school-level arts indicator, the Creative Schools Certification. These data inform the work of arts teachers, arts organizations, funders, the CPS Department of Arts Education, and district leadership, ensuring the arts remain an integral part of every student’s education.

We eagerly anticipate sharing these insights in the coming months! School-level data will be available on artlook and CPS school profiles, and findings will be published in the annual State of the Arts Report & Dashboard, along with additional resources like Data Snapshots.

Thank you again to all who made this possible!
